Receptor-blocking antibody
Antibody signal-receptor blockade
Receptor-blocking antibody — mechanism card
- Binds the RECEPTOR and caps it, so the cytokine can no longer signal through it
- Dupilumab at IL-4Rα blocks IL-4 and IL-13 at once without binding either cytokine
- Erenumab blocks the CGRP receptor; galcanezumab and fremanezumab bind the CGRP ligand instead
- Tocilizumab and sarilumab at IL-6R normalize CYP activity as inflammation falls — check the interaction arrow
