What it isMonoclonal antibody blocking thymic stromal lymphopoietin; severe asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
Why this oneHitting the top of the cascade makes it the one severe-asthma biologic that works regardless of eosinophil count or allergic phenotype.
What limits itHypersensitivity and injection reactions occur; taper steroids gradually and never use it for acute bronchospasm.

Instructions
- SC injection into thigh or abdomen (upper arm only if given by HCP/caregiver)
- Allow to reach room temperature (~60 min); do not shake
- Rotate injection sites
- Not for acute bronchospasm or status asthmaticus
Cautions
- Hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis
- Do not discontinue corticosteroids abruptly on initiation
- Treat pre-existing helminth infections before starting
- Avoid live attenuated vaccines
Adverse reactions
- Pharyngitis
- Arthralgia
- Back pain
- Nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, epistaxis, influenza (CRSwNP)
- Injection site reactions
Pregnancy No human data; monoclonal antibody with greater placental transfer in third trimester
Lactation No data; IgG present in human milk in small amounts
