Why this oneLike moxonidine it favors the I1 site over alpha-2, so it sedates less than clonidine while still reducing sympathetic outflow.
What limits itRenally cleared, so dosing falls with impaired renal function. Rebound on abrupt withdrawal is milder than clonidine but is still described.
