VOTRIENT

What it isOral VEGFR-focused multikinase inhibitor blocking tumor angiogenesis; advanced renal-cell carcinoma and soft-tissue sarcoma.

Why this oneIts antiangiogenic activity spans renal-cell and soft-tissue cancers, unlike most VEGFR inhibitors.

What limits itBoxed hepatotoxicity requires liver tests; hypertension, QT prolongation, thrombosis, bleeding, and CYP3A4 interactions complicate use.

FDA label

BOXED WARNING Severe and fatal hepatotoxicity observed; monitor hepatic function and interrupt, reduce, or discontinue dosing as recommended.
