Why this oneHistorically used for uncomplicated urinary tract infections and prostatitis, but it achieves poor systemic and tissue concentrations and has been largely superseded.

What limits itCarries the fluoroquinolone class boxed warnings, may exacerbate myasthenia gravis, and its absorption is markedly reduced by antacids and divalent cations.
