BOXED WARNING Fetal toxicity — discontinue as soon as pregnancy is detected; RAS-acting drugs can cause fetal injury and death.

Instructions
- Take one hour before meals.
- In patients on a diuretic, discontinue it 2–3 days before starting if possible; if not, start at 3.75 mg under supervision.
- Discontinue as soon as pregnancy is detected.
Contraindications
- History of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatment.
- Co-administration with aliskiren in patients with diabetes.
