Renal Monitor renal function in renal impairment; avoid in advanced renal disease unless benefits outweigh risks

Instructions
- Empty one packet into 30–60 mL of water only, mix well, and drink immediately
- Take on an empty stomach (food reduces effectiveness)
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration
Contraindications
- History of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery
Cautions
- Cardiovascular thrombotic events
- GI bleeding/ulceration/perforation
- Hepatotoxicity
- Hypertension
- Heart failure and edema
- Renal toxicity and hyperkalemia
- Anaphylactic reactions
- Serious skin reactions/DRESS
- Medication overuse headache
- Fetal toxicity (>=20 weeks gestation)
Adverse reactions
- Nausea
- Dizziness
Pregnancy Avoid at ~30 weeks gestation and later (premature closure of fetal ductus arteriosus); limit use 20–30 weeks (risk of oligohydramnios/fetal renal dysfunction).
Lactation Small amounts of diclofenac present in human milk; effects on infant/milk production unknown.
