What limits itTremor, tachycardia and hypokalemia increase with repeated treatments. Escalating need signals uncontrolled or life-threatening disease.

Instructions
- Use entire contents of one 3 mL unit-dose vial via jet nebulizer over 5–15 min
- Patients 6–12 yr with more severe asthma (FEV1 <60%), >40 kg, or 11–12 yr may respond better to 1.25 mg

- Paradoxical bronchospasm
- Cardiovascular effects
- Metabolic acidosis (postmarketing)
