Anti-CD20 antibody
CD20-directed monoclonal antibody
- Monoclonal antibody against CD20 on pre-B and mature B lymphocytes
- Depletes B cells; stem cells and plasma cells are CD20-negative and are spared, so immunoglobulin production is preserved at first
- Infusion reactions, hypogammaglobulinemia and infection risk; screen for hepatitis B before starting
